STOKE look to move into the semi-finals of the National League KO Cup when they travel to Suffolk to face the Mildenhall Fen Tigers at West Row on Sunday afternoon, 3pm.

The A.R. Richards Potters go into the second leg with a 10-point advantage having beaten the Tigers 50-40 at Loomer Road last month and team manager Malcolm Vasey is calling for more of the same after the Potters victory over in form Plymouth at Loomer Road on Saturday night. Vasey commented “We showed what we are capable of and we need to show the same commitment at Mildenhall on Sunday if we are to make the semi-final and it is a great opportunity for us. Mildenhall are a very good team and that was shown when they beat Eastbourne at West Row last weekend so we will need to be at our very best and if we perform like we did on Saturday then we will be in with a chance.”

The Potters will be at full strength for the clash while Mildenhall have brought in Ben Morley as a guest for Connor Mountain who is riding for Ipswich in the SGB Championship. Morley will be well supported by former Potter Jon Armstrong and ex-riders champion Daniel Halsey and youngster Jordan Jenkins. At reserve the Tigers have Lewis Whitmore and newcomer Matt Marson.

Potters heat-leader Luke Priest said “We are going to Mildenhall and looking to get a result there which will take us through to the semi-finals’. We showed on Saturday we are more than capable and if we can hit Mildenhall hard early on we can perhaps put them under a little bit of pressure. We were all determined on Saturday against Plymouth and will be going into this meeting full of confidence and with the same determination.”
