POTTERS v MILDENHALL - PREVIEW

Saturday 29 July, 2017
STOKE host Mildenhall in the first leg of their National League KO Cup quarter final 1st leg replay at Loomer Road on Sunday evening, 6pm.

The two sides drew 90-90 earlier this month as the A.R. Richards Potters let a 12-point aggregate lead slip in the final three heats at West Row as the Tigers clawed their way back to level the aggregate scores with both sides winning 50-40 at their respective tracks.

Both sides see changes in their line-ups with Mitchell Davey racing in Edinburgh’s rearranged SGB Championship meeting at Newcastle and Connor Mountain riding for Ipswich at Glasgow. The Potters have drafted in Cradley No.1 Danny Ayres as a guest for Davey while the Tigers have called on the services of Lakeside’s Ben Morley who has been a regular guest for clubs racing at Loomer Road this season.
New signing Lee Dicken comes replaces David Wallinger who was involved in a nasty crash at the Isle of Wight on Thursday night.

Potters skipper Tony Atkin commented “It will be a tough meeting for us again both sides are very evenly matched and it will be a great couple of meetings with a semi-final place up for grabs and it should be a great spectacle for supporters to come and watch. We will be looking to again take a lead down to West Row the bigger the better because they are very good around their own circuit but we are capable if we all ride and score the points we are capable of getting a result on Sunday and take a lead down to Mildenhall for the 2nd leg on Tuesday evening.
