STOKE head up to Hi-Edge Raceway to face the Buxton Hitmen in the Travel Plus National League on Sunday afternoon, 3pm.

The A.R. Richards Potters have a good record against the Hitmen but the Derbyshire outfit are a slightly different prospect this season with the inclusion of top two Matt Williamson and last seasons’ league riders champion Max Clegg forming a powerful spearhead. The revamp by Hitmen team manager Jason Pipe also saw Jamie Halder link up with the Hitmen along with Ryan Kinsley and highly sought teenager Ben Woodhull with Lee Geary and Tom Woolley keeping their places in the side.

Potters team manager Malcolm Vasey commented “We are going to Buxton in good spirits and we have got a decent record around Hi-Edge Raceway and are obviously travelling there looking for a win, but we will not be taking them lightly and we will be giving them the respect they deserve. They have certainly strengthened up since we won there earlier in the season and have a formidable pairing in Matt (Williamson) and Max (Clegg) and we will need to put in a solid performance to make sure we come away from Buxton with something. We have been riding well but just falling short in some meetings and we need to rectify this on Sunday.”

The Potters are at full strength for the clash with Lee Dicken making a quick return to the Hi-Edge arena.
