POTTERS v MILDENHALL - PREVIEW

Friday 01 September, 2017
STOKE face a huge uphill battle if they are to overturn a 24-point deficit as they entertain the Mildenhall Fen Tigers in their KO Cup quarter-final replay at Loomer road on Saturday night, 7pm.

The A.R. Richards Potters lost 57-34 in the first leg at West Row last month and Potters skipper Tony Atkin said “we hope to hit them early on in the meeting and we see where we go from there. Our first target is to win the meeting and then the second target is to hopefully get within touching distance in the final few heats and we see where we go from there. I’m really hoping that the supporters get behind the team and you never know we might just shock a few people. The pressure is off us and nobody expects us to win and that is sometimes when Stoke can be dangerous.”

The Potters will be at full strength for the clash with Shaun Tedham returning after missing last week’s league defeat at Mildenhall due to illness. Mildenhall will be without Connor Mountain who is riding for his SGB Championship club Ipswich with popular away guest at Loomer Road Ben Morley deputises for his absence while youngster Drew Kemp comes in replacing Sam Woods who is on compassionate leave.
