STOKE A.R. Richards Potters have a busy weekend as they first host local rivals Cradley in the Travel Plus National League at Loomer Road on Saturday night, (7pm), and then travel to Eastbourne on Sunday in the league also.
The Potters will be looking to get back to winning ways after a run off six consecutive defeats the last one being against the Heathens at Monmore Green losing out 60-30.
The A.R. Richards Potters have drafted in Birmingham youngster Danyon Hume in as a guest for the unavailable Ben Wilson.
The Heathens will field the same team as on Tuesday night being led into action by Tuesday’s maximum men Ashley Morris and skipper Max Clegg. They are well supported by former Potter Luke Chessell and Richard Andrews while at reserve the Heathens have Ben Basford and Bradley Andrews with Joe Lawlor at number right. The Heathens will use rider replacement to cover for the injured James Purchase.
Potters boss Malcolm Vasey commented “Cradley are a good side especially with the likes of Ashley Morris and Max Clegg leading them, but we have to look at picking up points against some of the lower order and if we can do that then I feel we stand a chance of winning the meeting. We have a very good guest in Danyon (Hume) who has been riding well for Birmingham this season and most recently for Ipswich in the Premier League and I’m sure he will do a good job for us.”
