WILSON SCORES 8 IN THE NLRC

BEN Wilson scored 8 points in the National League Riders Championship at Leicester on Saturday night.

The Potters number one started brightly with a win in his opening ride beating Mark Baseby and former Potter Chris Widman who replaced Rob Branford in his opening ride. Wilson finished third in his second ride behind Max Clegg and Tom Perry and was third again in his third ride finishing behind Matt Williamson and Ashley Morris. The Potter had his third consecutive third place finish in his fourth ride finishing behind Luke Bowen and Daniel Halsey to leave him on six points with one ride remaining. A second place in his final ride left Wilson on 8 points from his five rides.

Cradley’s Max Clegg became the new National League Riders Champion taking his second title in the space of four days have won the British Under-19 title at Birmingham on Wednesday night.
