STOKE entertain the Mildenhall Fen Tigers in the Travel Plus National League at Loomer Road on Saturday night, 7pm.
The Potters look to end a dismal run of nine successive defeats and Potters team manager Malcolm Vasey believes his septet are capable of taking victory on Saturday against the Fen men commenting “We pushed Mildenhall all the way at their track in August and only really lost out in the final few races and I really do think that around our home track we can take the win on the night. We have pushed both Eastbourne and Cradley close at home recently and they are in the top four and do not see why we cannot just have that little bit of luck so we edge past the finish line with a victory.”
The Potters will be at full strength for the meeting as they look to avenge the 51-39 defeat at West Row.
Mildenhall will be without two former Potters on the night with Kyle Hughes being injured and Jon Armstrong being unavailable for the match. The Isle of Wight’s Nathan Stoneman comes in to replace Hughes at number 1, while the Tigers will operate rider replacement to cover for Armstrong. Daniel Halsey and Connor Coles form a solid back up to Stoneman with Alife Bowtell completing the top five. At reserve the Tigers have Lee Geary and Joe Lawlor.
