KENT v POTTERS - PREVIEW

Sunday 21 May, 2017
STOKE make the long trek South to face the Kent Kings in the Travel Plus National League at Central Park on Monday night, 6.30pm.

The Kings who finished in the top four last season have started their campaign off well winning both their opening home league matches of the season, although they did lose their opening meeting of the season at Central Park losing out to Lakeside.
Kent have several changes this year after losing out on Danny Ayres who joined Cradley while David Mason linked up with Lakeside. The Kings are though still led by the influential Luke Bowen and he will receive good support from Nathan Stoneman with Jack Thomas and former Potter Ben Hopwood who is far better than his 5.83 average and has proved it this season on numerous occasions with Luke Clifton completing the top five. Bradley Andrews has joined the Kings having spent last season with Cradley while Anders Rowe completes the Kings line-up.

The Potters will be at full strength for the clash at a track where they have previously been successful on in the past.

A.R. Richards Potters team manager Malcolm Vasey commented “We are going into the meeting knowing we are capable of getting a result against anyone and will be looking at getting something out of this meeting. They have some very good riders in their line-up especially in Luke Bowen but if we ride to our potential then there is no reason why we cannot push Kent all the way.”
